Welcome to a world which more colored probably couldn't be.
A world which has to
offer unbelievable possibilities to you if you understand to move there or to
learn how to do so.
A world which will enrich your life immensely as soon as you have set the first
steps into it.
and it is a world which will provide you again and again with adventures, new
knowledge and new acquaintances and last but not least
even a world, which
is extremely worth to be engaged with and where by means of all of us everyone would be able to participate to make our
planet a bit more likeable step by step, if she or he really would like to do so.
Stop now! I hear you just
saying: "yes but if this were so simple"!
You are absolutely right,
knowledge in foreign languages isn't a thing one can buy or obtain surreptitiously
respectively by devious means, it's not possible to borrow and there really isn't any
other possible way to master them without
any effort, without any labor. This has to be done by each of us by oneself, similar
as in the case of good character traits.
However: In a
time of networking and boundless communication both from geographical and from
technical view it definitely isn't a sorcery to acquire one or also more foreign languages so that one can also actually use them in a time like this one.
How this is possible?
You better forget most of the earlier methods for learning languages you still
know from the time of your school years. Better to check through all new
possibilities, adapt them for your own needs regarding learning foreign languages and to
try out other ways to reach your aims. With short words:
Try to combine all
available methods and possibilities and don't hesitate to look for new ways.
I will be pleased
to be able to give you tips and a summary of different possibilities to it and
to help you to win new views and ideas which will help you along. Furthermore I hope for
great words of encouragement by like-minded people and also for their tips, views and
points of view.
I am not a
language scholar, no scientist, no dry theorist, I am simply a
practitioner who had to learn his first language just as with difficulty as most
others also. I am an industrial manager by profession and you can then, if I
have to learn several foreign languages managed, this secure also. The one
better, the other one perhaps not quite as good, the one quick, the other one
perhaps a little tough. But be sure, all of you can do the same than I did!
With my love for
travelling, with my affinity to other countries and cultures as well as with
a boisterous professional motivation I have managed to speak several languages
now. (Unfortunately professionally this doesn't help any more in my age even if
our politicians break
out in promises and prophecies which is rather a comfort than to correspondent to the reality).
Perfect? Would you mean it is possible to
learn another language perfectly? Do you think it is necessary to learn it
perfectly? How high is the share of the respective
population of a linguistic area, the degree of mother tongue, that one, which is
spoken for always, mastered really perfectly? Well,
I don't know it either but it purely instinctively probably won't be too big
although here also on the definition of arrives "perfectly" and this
allows some room to move.
One thing I can
assure you: If you are ready to do something for this primarily "the
right thing", if you learn languages, however shortly, you won't have only
first or further foreign language knowledge so but more and more much fun, fun
with understanding, reading, singing, writing and speaking your prefered
language.
However, this is it which I hereby also cordially wish
you:
A lot of fun with learning your favorite language(s) when using the same
and also at the visit of my home page "foreign-languages".
